BEGINNING and CONTINUING TIBETAN LANGUAGE CLASSES
We are very happy to announce that Ven. Lama Kunga Rinpoche has kindly offered to hold another series of two different weekly classes in Introductory Tibetan Language, Reading and Writing.
Open to everyone, the classes start at the beginner level. There is also a continuing class for people who began last Fall or anyone with prior experience.
Handouts and practice sheets of the daily studies are provided at the classes.
LOCATION: Ewam Choden
TIME: 7:00 p.m. (to about 8:30 p.m.)
DAY: Tuesdays for Beginning and Wednesdays for Continuing
FEE: $20 per class, or one payment of $120.
Pre-registration isn’t required, but it’s a good idea to email your intention to attend.
THE BEGINNING CLASS will meet on the following Tuesdays:
2/19, 2/26, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3/26
THE CONTINUING CLASS will meet on the following Wednesdays:
2/20, 2/27, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27
NOTE that there could be an unplanned change in a date, requiring an additional day to be set.

More information on this empowerment will be posted very soon.
The empowerment begins at 1:00 pm and has a requested donation of $30. (Offering to the Lama is separate.)
A practice sadhana will be given, but the empowerment can be taken as a blessing.
There is no prerequisite requirement or pre-registration. This empowerment is open to everyone who has taken refuge and follows the Buddhist path.
Please arrive early to register at the door.

Ven. Lama Kunga Rinpoche will kindly bestow the Blessing of Vajrayogini, (the Naro Kachod), at Ewam Choden on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.
This event has a strict prerequisite.
In order to receive this empowerment, you must have already received a two-day empowerment of Hevajra or Cakrasamvara or Vajra Nairatmya, preferably from a Sakya lama but this is not required. Ask us, if you’re not sure about this.
The requested donation for the Empowerment is $ 75.00. Dana (offerings) to the Lama is separate.
Participants will receive the practice sadhana booklet. This empowerment may be received as a blessing without a practice commitment.
The location is the Ewam Choden Center. Please arrive early to sign in, and to state how you fulfill the prerequisite.

VEN. LAMA KUNGA RINPOCHE WILL KINDLY BESTOW THE ENTIRE EMPOWERMENT CYCLE OF THE 21 TARAS in the Surya Gupta (Nyima Baypa) lineage.
The schedule is the following:
FRIDAY, March 22—Start at 7:00 pm
SATURDAY, March 23—Start at 9:00 am. Break for lunch at 12 noon. Resume at 1:30 pm. Finish at about 4:30 (or 5:00) pm
SUNDAY, March 24—Similar to Saturday.
MONDAY, March 25—Start at 7:00 pm.
Participants should plan on attending the entire series. Individual Tara empowerments may not be taken.
Everyone is welcome. There is no prerequisite. Practice sadhana papers will be given for each Tara. The empowerments may be received as blessings.
The donation amount for the 21 Tara Empowerments is $ 400. Dana (offering to the lama) is separate.

TARA is a BODHISATTVA (Sanskrit: तारा, tārā; Tibetan སྒྲོལ་མ = Drolma) also known as Ārya Tārā, or Jetsun Dolma.
Each of her 21 emanations has her own mantra and enlightened quality including protection, pacification, purification, rescue, healing, and varieties of assistance to practitioners on many levels. Tara is sometimes called the mother of the Buddhas. She is associated with Chenrezig and with Amitabha Buddha. There is a 21 verse prayer of praises to each Tara emanation, describing her qualities, which is recited in all schools of Tibetan Buddhism.
