Vajrakilaya Empowerment   Print

To receive this initiation you need to have taken refuge.
This Vajrakilaya is a wrathful empowerment from the Sakya Khon Lineage. Originating from Khon Luee Wangpo, a disciple of Padmasambava, it has been transmitted in an unbroken lineage through to Sachen Kunga Nyingbo and down all the way to the present. Vajrakilaya is a wrathful manifestation of the wisdom aspect of enlightenment and purifies inner and outer karmic defilements that assists in gaining wisdom knowledge to reach enlightenment. This particular initiation is a "Tor Wang"- a Torma Initiation. The practice provides activities to ripen sentient beings and to bestow blessings.

EMPOWERMENT - Singhamukha / Aug 24, 2008


 

The Singhamukha Empowerment scheduled for Sunday, August 24th , rescheduled from June 2008.

Singhamukha, the Lion-faced Dakini, is a dharma protector and an enlightened form of female energy.  The practice of Singhamukha is beneficial for transforming negative mental projections, eliminating jealousy and protecting us from negative energies such as wars, natural disasters and epidemics.

Empowerment begins promptly at 1pm, so please arrive by 12:30pm. Suggested donation is $30 and dana offering for lama is separate.

 

 


 
Vajrayogini Class
Lama Kunga Thartse Rinpoche is teaching a 1½ to 2 hour class on the Vajrayogini practice in the Sakya tradition every Monday, 7:00 p.m. The class is open to Vajrayogini initiates in the Sakya Tradition only, and you have received both Hevajra and Chakrasamvara initiations.

Sunday Meditation

Every Sunday, Lama Kunga Rinpoche leads the Chenrezig Meditation, at the Center. This is a traditional Tibetan meditation focusing on compassion and begins promptly at 10:00 a.m., lasting 1 -1½ hours. The practice text we are using is available online for viewing or downloadable as booklet. Everyone is welcome!
